Kestral Gaian
Author. Playwright. Professional Overthinker.
Kestral Gaian is a non-binary author, poet, and playwright who creates queer, vibrant, and quietly furious work. Their writing lives in the cracks between genres and systems: emotional, political, digital. With backgrounds in psychotherapy and tech, and a lifelong habit of asking “but why though?” at inconvenient moments, Kestral’s stories, plays, poems, and songs are driven by curiosity, complexity, and care.
Their characters are often tangled in networks, relationships, dreams, and feedback loops, much like the rest of us. Softness becomes a form of resistance; laughter, a pressure valve.
Kestral is drawn to the unspoken, the sidelong glance, the moment that says more than the plot ever could. Their work embraces the belief that stories should leave a mark, not a scar — and that maybe, just maybe, storytelling is how we practise being better humans.
Or at least stranger, kinder ones.
