Christina-Jae Angel
Writer, Activist, Dreamer, Biscuit Thief
Christina-Jae Angel (she/her) is a poet, activist and public speaker whose consistent goal in her work is to inspire, educate and ultimately, recover. An active speaker at trans rights protests, she has no discomfort in expressing her truth to the world with the hope of helping others feel comfortable in their existence. Born in England due to displacement, she is of Jamaican and Indian descent and regularly explores cultural identity, self acceptance and the impact of colonisation within her writing.
Her published work includes pieces in ELSKA Magazine (2017), Twenty Eight, edited by Kestral Gaian (2023), SWARM's Nuance Doesn't Pay The Bills 'zine (2025), the self-published Transplant and her new poetry collection ‘Bird of Paradise’, published by Reconnecting Rainbows Press in October 2026. Having performed her work on stages throughout the UK, she is blessed to have found family and acceptance with others through her words.
After finally escaping London, she now lives peacefully in the mountains of Gwynedd with her partner and their two wonderfully chaotic dogs.
